I'm glad something is being done. As I am on the brink of losing my husband to melanoma cancer that has come back, I hope and pray for a miracle and a medical cure. This is a story as related by D. Gary Young, ND given at the First International Symposium - Grosse, France - March 21-22, 1998

Integrated Aromatic Medicine

In December of 1984 a young man checked into my clinic with malignant melanoma. [Figure No. I] Even though he had
been operated on twice, the tumor had grown and had attached to his jugular vein, esophagus, and carotid artery, and was now
infiltrating the brain, lungs and spine. His situation was extremely grave and his doctors had given him only weeks to live.
At first, we prescribed a very strict vegetarian diet and juice fast, while we administered laetrile intravenously and an amino
acid solution with Vitamin C combined with herbal formulas.

However, for two weeks the tumor continued to grow.
On December the 28th, I began my first experiment using essential oils to treat cancer. The growth of the tumor slowed but
did not stop. I believed that the cancer would go into remission if we could get frankincense inside the tumor. It was risky because we could not inject essential oils directly in the blood stream. So I mixed a
solution of ringer's lactate with amino-methanol as a buffer, Procaine GH3 and glucose. I combined I ml of this solution with 6 mg of frankincense essential oil and injected it into the nonvascular tissues of the tumor
site. I followed with an herbal compress.

Within 24 hours the tumor stopped growing.
By January 5, 1985, David's tumor had started shrinking and pulling away from the neck and shoulder tissue. By February 2nd
the tumor had further reduced in size, and by February 20, the tumor had begun breaking away from surrounding tissues with
normal tissue starting to appear [Figure No.2]. In March, 1985, the outer mass of the tumor had disappeared,
but David still suffered some infiltration into the brain and was still not in complete remission. So we continued application of
essential oils. I also applied an herbal formula of chaparral, bloodroot, zinc oxide, and pine tar on the affected tissue. We
used this formula during the day. In the evening, we rinsed it off, sterilized the site, and covered the entire tumor mass with undiluted frankincense oil. I also injected the
diluted frankincense solution around the base of the tumor as well as into the tumor itself.

Eventually, the shoulder tissue underneath started to fill in and grow. Prior to treatment, David's neck and shoulder had been
severely restricted in motion. He now had regained the movement in his neck and shoulder. By May 1985, six months after this treatment,
David went home free of cancer. [Figure No.3]

I am currently in remission from neck cancer. I had a very fast growing cancer. I was in stage 4 last March. I changed my diet, began taking supplements, enzymes, alternative to the max. I was seeing no sign of improvement. Maybe I waited to long. Well in May I began chemo and radiation together. Not something I would chose to do. Cisplaton (sp) yuk. I had a radical neck dissection following the chemo and rad and some three months to get strong enough. but I have no cancer now and I would have died for sure in sort order. the tumors would ave suffocated me. so what you wrote is not really correct and there are lots and lots of cured cancer cases out there both natural and due to the work of AMA doctors. Even the Journal of the American Medical Association took note of the phenomenon when, in its diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer by Dr. Maurice Fox, a biologist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. On the basis of studies carried out at the Harvard School of Public health, Dr. Fox found, among other things, that: Those who refused medical procedures had a lower mortality rate than those who submitted.

Big Pharma CEO Fakes Cancer while Pill-Pushing Doctor Fakes Clinical Trial Results for Bextra, Effexor and Celebrex

Faking clinical trial data for Vioxx and Celebrex
Meanwhile, a researcher at Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts, Dr. Scott Reuben, was found to have faked the data used in 21 "scientific" papers published in peer-reviewed medical journals from 1996 - 2008.

The Associated Press is reporting today that journals have begun retracting papers authored by Dr. Reuben. The journal Anesthesia & Analgesia has retracted 10 studies authored by Dr. Reuben, and the journal Anesthesiology has also started retracting studies.

The l.a.u.s.d. lay off of teachers should be the last group to be layed off. The first should be the school bus drivers and mechanics and sell all the buses and let the kids go to the schools in there own neighbor hood. I would bet there would be more of a savings .

I read your blog again and had a very bizarre image fill my mind. The ethical and moral issues surrounding this science and technology are difficult to resolve how do you judge which life is most important to protect and when life begins and what "life" "is". Are existing beings more deserving of having their lives protected or are the yet unborn most deserving and when does a being become yet unborn? This is a difficult metaphysical issue to tackle given the diversity of religious beliefs held by our citizens which collectively establish our "national morality".
I would not feel that I was a blood sucker a Dracula if I was to receive stem cell based therapy if or when needed to extend my conscious life experience. Is that morality of greed of a murderous baby killer I don't feel that. I do not believe there is consciousness present in a embryo of that stage. I can only base this belief on that "belief" itself. The funding for this research will be doled out to several research universities and afffiliated research institutes. The "government" will not be doing this in secret in some hidden bunker.

The research results will likely produce life-saving applications in many diseases and afflictions, plus it will add to the economy in that more Ph.D.s and assistants and administrative support will be needed - so new jobs will be created, more people paying taxes and buying food and clothing, etc. There is a large trickle-down effect that many folks perhaps don't consider.

For eight years, while the economy was good, big businesses such as pharmaceuticals and scientific research companies would have been all over research on embryonic stem cells if they thought it would be profitable to do so. They didn't because the research can be done on the current, established cell lines.

My father died of ALS--Lou Gehrig's Disease. This is the most miserable disease--the most awful way to die imaginable. I recently heard that they have made huge advances in ALS research using privately funded stem-cell research. If the Feds can advance this research and help even one person living through this nightmare, it is worth using these cells that would be destroyed anyway--these lifeless cells that will not be used for any other purpose. These are not unborn human beings--these are cells that left alone without implant will die. Let us help the living--God gave us this ability to use these cells as life-saving tools. Think of the possibilities--a cure for cancer, MLS--all the things that are killing our people now. This is not the 15th Century. We cannot turn our backs on knowledge.

I think it's about time. People are dying out there, my brother is one. He suffers from Parkinson's. It will end his life.
