I hope you don't sunbathe in the nude...

because I can see you up here! Currently, I'm about 1,000 ft. in the air over Los Angeles (hollywood hills, around sunset plaza). It's a typical Tuesday. I guess it is a touch nippy for tanning in the buff... but there's always summer to look forward to.
Ok, let me be honest, I've never seen anyone naked from way up here but that doesn't stop us from peeking at your pool hoping to catch a glimpse.
Our work day is almost over in the helicopter. It's a little after 8am.
My mornings are...well, a little different from the norm. I wake up in the middle of the night (I sleep until the very last second about 3:35am and then I sit up in bed staring at the wall in disbelief at what is happening for about 10 minutes and yes every morning I'm in disbelief), most mornings without coffee because even starbucks is two hours away from frothing their first latte and climb into a helicopter that goes hundreds of feet in the air to go look for car accidents.
I guess somebody has to do it because according to some stats car accidents happen about every 60secs here in LA.
But my favorite stuff...what I really love happens in between all the broken down big rigs and sig alerts. I get to see stunning sunrises, land on snow capped mountain tops (ok, we only did that once), buzz HUGE waves so low the mist hits the windshield and fly close enough to the Hollywood sign I can practically touch it!
The accidents, yeah we show those too but I hope you enjoy your sunrises every morning...especially if you have HD.
So next time you're in your car cursing the bumper to bumper mess on the 405 and the jerk who's switching lanes thinking he's going to get somewhere, think of me because I'm cursing it too, just not on TV!

p.s. Shout out to Sam, Colin, Warren, Todd, Ann, Nicole and of course the man who made traffic reporting cool...Commander Chuck

Jessica ... I admire your grit in getting up so early each day. Even though I live in San Diego and not at the effect of the traffic snarls you talk about in your reports, I love seeing you between 7 to 9 (can't get you here before that) and I agree the great views you capture are frequently awesome.
Your witty personality combined with your beauty makes watching easy also. I also appreciate that you get other assignments also.
I was a viewer when you were selected a couple of years ago. That was a great choice by KTLA to pick you. I would guess that you will have a continued great career in TV if that is what you want. Big hugs. - Robin

You are pure sunshine, Jessica.

Jessica,
No matter what time of day you get up, you tend to do that stare at the walls thing. :-)
It's a joy to watch you each and every day and you did a GREAT job on the Red Carpet with Sam.
The only thing better than seeing you in the copter is when you fill in for Mark and appear during the 9:00 hour.

After getting caught in my hot tub by low flying copters, (I live near the 5 in Orange County.) I had a canopy built over the tub so I get light but you can't see me.
You are great. You always pick me up in the morning no matter what my mood when I wander into my kitchen. I also love it when you do the discussion segment.

Jessica,
I'm a nurse and wake up long before dawn,so I understand the stare at the wall is this really happening what day is it feeling. KTLA needs to give you a travel coffee mug so you can make your own Starbucks at home. Keep up the good work.

Jessica: You are a gem in the sky. You were my pick from the get go. When your sitting up staring at the wall in the am, try to think of all the things your greatful for. There really is something to it. It puts a different spin on your day. Your the best!

Looking for nude sunbathers.....that explains why half the time you don't know which way is north and which is south.

Wow and you get paid for doing this??? You do much better in the helicopter than you do in the studio. Your time is limited in the helicopter and hopefully you will lose signal. You must have a great contract and/or get paid very little for them to keep you, since Commander Chuck does the same job and does it much better may I add.
Hope you find a guy soon and marry well!

Let me first say that when you first came to KTLA (the contest) you were not my pick and I didn't understand why they picked you. But you have grown on me like an irremovable wart and I can not imagine KTLA without you. Keep up the great work!

Jessica-
I am not sure how you do it every morning. You make it seem effortless. You are a breathe of fresh air. I enjoy waking up watching you in the mornings. Even with the coffee, I have in the morning, I am never as cheerful and full of energy as you. I think you are a great addition to the team.

Hey Jess!
Just wanted to thank you for the wake up call this morning. Well, you didn't call, but I was sure you guys were landing in the back yard as you were getting the shot of the accident at the 5/55. Oh well, I had to get up to do laundry anyway.
Just wanted to add that I'm a wall starer as well. Never have been a morning person. But watching you in the morning, one can't help but smile. Smart, funny, and beautiful......Man, if I were 15 years younger............80)

You have an energy that is so fun and refreshing, especially when in studio :) LA loves Jessica!!!

I was one who emailed KTLA when you asked about advice for a rodent problem. I wondered if you moved out and if you stayed I was sure your rodent problem was over. But based on some of the comments made of you, I see they are still around. My wife and I enjoyed your Paris adventure. Your light-hearted nature make you fun to watch. Keep up the smiling, don't let your working hours get you depress and (uh) don't forget to notice the green and red colors so you'll get the directions right. Rat # 3

Hey Jessica,
Although I don't need to be at work as early as you do, I tend to wake up around the 3:00 am hour (don't really know why, but I do). I usually will turn on the TV and watch Mike and Mike on ESPN 2 (a morning sports radio/tv show). Since the beginning of the year I have been trying to my ass back in shape for the summer. Part of the training includes workouts at the beach (some days in the AM and some in the PM). I usually do ladders (5 yards back, 10 yards back, 20 yards back). If the surf is good I will catch a few breaks as well. The best part of being on the beach is the sunrise or sunset. Your right it is a beautiful watching the sun come up or go down.
Later
