Sam Rubin should be fired.

He's the biggest blowhard in local television. I recently saw him shamelessly stop the show cold so he could boast about his own picture on the back cover of some magazine.

It would be awesome to see that stupid April Fools stunt backfire on his butt and actually cost him his undeserved job.

Dumb - I knew it was a joke from the beginning. It only made the channel 5 morning group look dumber. Michaela looked bored as hell. Poor Eric was trying his best.

This looks like a very sad attempt to bring laughter back at KTLA but the joke is really on you guys. Before you try to pull off a prank this long you guys should take acting 101 first because the acting was a little soap opera-ish.

On another note, Sam - any chance KTLA could snag Ann Martin now that she's been let go by KCBS and KCAL?? You know, she was being considered to replace Joan Lunden on Good Morning America many years ago!!!

The highlight of the morning was seeing Perry Rubin again doing her thing at the Kid's Awards. I didn't get to see the Mark part but I left believing it was an April Fools joke. But I was a little concern due to the 9:00 program. (Anything is possible) My attitude was I'll believe it if I don't see Sam on tomorrow's show. I thought Eric did the best at trying to act the part. A little bit of fun is fine once in awhile for all of us to relieve the stress of our personal and world problems.

When I saw the show today, and saw Sam showing the memo Rich sent him, I thought, "here goes the April Fools joke". But when he walked out, I started to get worried.

So I listened to what Seacrest had to say on the radio (which I hate - couldn't you have picked another radio station and another morning show?), to find out if it was true or not, then I hear Mark's being escorted off the set...

I understand April Fools Day, but you scared the crap out of me! I love you all, and I've watched you religiously since the first day, but I was afraid this was going to be the end!

I love this show, and I love all of you, and I really don't want to have to watch the "other morning shows". You have been my morning wake up call for almost 17 years. So please... don't do that again! My poor heart can't take it!

All I have to say to the ON camera "so called" talent is DON'T GIVE UP YOUR DAY JOBS! That was the worst acting and improvising I have ever seen in television history, and on a day that Sam talks about AFTRA!!!! All y'all ought to have your AFTRA cards confiscated immediately!

I was stunned and dumbfounded for several hours after the show aired this morning. It was an April Fool's Day to be remembered. You had me going. It was so believeable because of all the turmoil in all the stations right now. Yes, including yours.

Wow, I didn't watch the show but watching these clips it seems rather fake to me. The acting was not good especially with Mark smiling as the security guard comes with one box for Mark to put his belongings in after decades of working there, not believable sorry.

You people are messed up!

I didn't see the show today but I did watch the video clips. What exactly was the point of dragging Mark off the set? That was the stupidest and the lamest moment I have ever seen. Could he not handle the fact that the joke was on Sam and had to hone in on the action? Give me a break!

The 15 to 20 minutes I spent watching the video highlights was way too long. Can't imagine watching it unfold over 2 hours. I feel sorry for those who actually watched. Those are 2 hours that they can't ever get back. Ever!

Fifteen years of praying and I thought my prayers had finally been answered then I realized Sam would not have the cojones to quit his job on the air. Where else would he work? On the other hand, I would not watch the show if Mark was gone, to be sure! I gotta have my dose of Kriski each day!

Sam, you say you're going on vacation next week and then upon your return on the 14th, you'll have a huge announcement. The only huge announcement I can think of that the majority of the viewers would want to hear is that KTLA has finally listened to US, and they're changing the 9 am hour back to the original format. If this is in fact what I think that "huge" announcement could be - I wouldn't wait until the 14th my friend. I'd announce it immediately!!!!

Yesterday was absolutely hysterical! I had not had a chance to say how the whole situation played out until this morning. Going back and watching the videos were priceless. Please do not break up this happy crew. I have to have my morning fix of ktla in the morning.

Great joke! We all need a laugh once in awhile...We love KTLA. in fact, we switched from channel 2 to your show. They're the ones that got boring!

We all know Sam would have been crying like a baby if he left KTLA. And how many times has Mark been "escorted" from the show...didn't buy it.

Not a bad April Fool's day. Mark being escorted out to throw everyone off, Sam storming off after a letter from management. Everyone wondering what in the world was going on. Sam taking refuge with Ryan Seacrest. Ryan not knowing why Sam was there. After the cat was out of the bag and everyone laughed, Sam still had a mad look on his face. Shame on Ryan for offering him a job when he still had one in front of so many people. Guests on KTLA aren't the only ones taking the women of KTLA away. So, when Sam gets back from vacation I think he will announce he's taken Ryan up on his offer, or some other major announcement. Stay tuned....

Haven't been watching the show lately because I do not like the 9:00 format change. Now, this so called joke which I saw on the internet just shows how downhill this whole morning show is going. This 'joke' shows even more the demise of professionalism in some of the morning staff. I thought that they were better than that. In this time of people getting layed off or fired for real; your 'joke' was insensitive as well. Please rein yourselves in and bring professionalism back. It's all right to have some fun, but you went way overboard on this one. Hal and Gene are most likely rolling in their graves at what KTLA is becoming - a joke.

Mark - you're such a bad actor! stick with the weather reporting!

Who's ever idea it was to do this stupid April Fools joke should be fired. Considering what has been going on at your station of late and the feelings of most of your viewers. This was in very, very poor taste. If anyone should have been removed from the lot, it should have been the news director and the GM not Mark.
