TOO MUCH INFORMATION? [-or- "Diary of the Office Water Cooler"]

We go to work and spend nine hours every day give or take with our comrades; spending more time with these people than with our wives, husbands, children and definitely our mothers. Yet how well do we really know our daytime associates? What about Hank, just two cubicles over with the 70's mullet, bad plaid jacket and tuna on wonder bread sandwich for lunch every single day? I'm sure he has a story. Compelling and riveting? Or just a basic bore? What about the tall blonde in sales that you undress with your eyes every day. And you thought SWAT were the only ones who use special tactics. You pop the breath mint, reel in some of the Budweiser overhang and saunter over with the fearless abandon of George Clooney - only to say "so... I hear we're getting wireless routers next month..." You know she goes there "often" so that pickup line is dead. Did you ever stop and think about having a real conversation with her that offers even a glint of untainted honesty?
Sam: just as confused about his religion as his sexuality. Mancation in Vegas? What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Thank God.
Jessica: despite her four foot five, ninety pound frame she loves to chow down and yet still can't get a date. Awkward A bit of a "Peeping Tom" our Jessica. Neighbors close your curtains.
Eric: still angry!!!
Cher: hates Valentine's Day, loves vacation and watches Oprah.
Michaela: Knows how to have a good time in a trailer park, but don't ask her to drink the water.
You know, come to think of it maybe we'd be better off not knowing about our co-workers and lets just keep it to "how bout them Dodgers?" Our self-deprecation aside as we refer to ourselves on the Morning News as "The Land of the Misfit Toys," I love the gang as the unique though somewhat obtuse group they are. How boring would it be if we were all the same cookie cutter, squeaky-clean personality? It takes a village to raise a Morning Show. And a righteous village we have. Minus the village idiot. Well, no, we have that also.
To Sam, it's OK. Frank, anchors aweigh. Cher, embrace the love. Michaela, butterflies are free. Eric, breathe. Jessica, don't look.
Finally I must review what we have learned about Mark: well grounded, thoughtful, considerate and a great dancer not to mention writer.

Who helped you write this blog? J/K!!! If it weren't for you, the Morning Show just would not be the same. If you don't believe me, just watch the 9 am show on KTLA. I can't wait to see the ratings. Come back, Mark!!! And bring Frank, but leave Sam and weak DJ behind and help out the girls. Love the girls, man. Love 'em!

Cute blog although my views of some of your co-workers may be slightly different. If it takes a village to raise the Morning News show then it's going to take the world to raise the "Water cooler Buzz show".

It's interesting how popular blogs have become in general. I like your KTLA blogs because I like your morning show. And subsequently enjoy the individual stories and viewpoints.
But keeping up with "all the blogs in the world", so to speak, is a little exhausting. I check the KTLA blog only every so often, for who has the time to do otherwise. Well, perhaps some people have the time.
This morning, I just happened to be in front of the computer and the T.V. at the same time before I take my shower. Is that more information than you needed to know? Well, that's what blogging is all about I suppose, revelations, revalations, and more revelations that only a few, if any, care about I suppose.
Mark, your truthfulness is honest, I'll give you that.

Got to love you Mark…and we do!! You are right about correcting yourself, (having a village idiot). Please get him/her under control and come back to the 9am with Frank, Sam and Eric…I hate re-runs but they are at least better then what the “idiot” has done to the 9am show.

Gloria, that was a great show. I am finding that it is not as hard to watch as I thought it would be. I turned away from KTLA the day Judge Wapner was on, I like him but I don't think he knows he was on the show at that time. A little in outer space.

What a riot! First thing I do when I get up in the morning is switch on KTLA Morning News, and I have to say watching you get escorted off the lot on April Fools' Day had me chuckling. I KNEW there was NO WAY they'd fire you...you are the glue for the morning show and your antics keep me entertained while I get ready for work.

I’ve been waking up with the KTLA Morning cast since 1992, I remember during the first show I ever watched they showed a picture of you black Chevy Camaro. I remember a comment about you not having A/C or something to that nature, any who its been a while Mark, 16 yrs now. Sad to see Carlos go but love the cast you are all great.

Man I luv ktla morning news. You guys are very entertaining and for all those haters posting their stuff what the hell are you doing in this website if you don't like the show?! Mark and Sam are great and so is everybody else. Oh and are you serious jessica is four foot five cuz that is really short and by the way the april fools prank was good I really thought that was it for Sam in KTLA. You guys can't let go of Mark and Sam,I mean c'mon its Mark and Sam.

I just wanna say your April Fools Day thing was so lame.....if you would have just stopped with Sam Rubin it could have been buyable....but I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
I have to say your weather report for Wednesday was bunk......got a great fire going waiting for the storm, the the sun came out!!!! My dogs, who were whining to come inside went outside to cool off from my fire!! Again, love you guys

Mark ... when you are absent from the show a key piece is missing. Your atttiude and cracks give it a bit of tension, much fun, and of a touch of excitement. You are a keystone.
The give and take you have with the others is much fun. It is great to see Frank chiming in now. And M. is a good sport and keeps you in line :-).
Sam is an alter-ego to you. His bits add a great deal.
I'm in love with Jessica. I miss her on the 7-9 show.
And I'm bored with after 9 .. I start watching it ... snore for while ... and turn it off.
A mix of all of you is best. The news while interesting is not why I watch. You have been family for me for many years.
