The Corner Place - Koreatown

If you like Korean Food and Korean BBQ... you'll love The Corner Place. It's tucked away in a weird part of Koreatown, if parking runs out in front there's a free lot right across the street. This is strictly family-style eating, everyone shares which brings the total bill per person down to a very reasonable price for all the food you get. The beverages (beer/soju) are priced just right. Everyone raves about the cold noodles here, but they are really nothing special. The meat portions are generous and fresh and unlike most places you will go to, most of their meat is un-marinated. If you are used to the flavor of Kalbi (soy sauce, sugar, spices, etc.) then you will be surprised but it's designed to be eaten with all the little dishes you get. The natural flavor of the meat plus the fresh veggies, kim-chi, red pepper paste, fermented soybean paste, jalepenos, garlic (yes garlic), wrapped in lettuce and stuffed in your mouth. Delicious. Or you can eat it straight with the green onions and order rice. But I usually just order meat, beer, lettuce. Everything else you see comes with your order already and each order is about 20 bucks and feeds 3-4 people well. The service is alot better than most places you will go to, their english is limited and the menu is limited. Start off with something simple and order more later. It's all good. Oh, and prepare to grill meat at your table! The best part of Korean BBQ.

That Korean food looks so good. I've got to quit looking at these pictures when I'm hungry and miles away from these establishments you highlight!
Have you ever tried Domenico's in Belmont Shore in Long Beach? They have an incredible house dressing on their salad....and if you like pepperoni pizza, they offer a "Ground" pepperoni pizza. The entire pizza is covered with ground pepperoni!
It's so good!
