Villaraigosa Vacations Cost Taxpayers
10:23 AM October 19, 2009
Now we finally know how much taxpayers had to shell out for L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's luxury vacations to South Africa and Iceland this summer.
It cost the city $20,736 for the mayor's security detail on those two trips, according to records released by the City Controller's office in response to a California Public Records Act request.
Here's the rundown on those expenses:
Both the LAPD and the Mayor's office refused to release this information when we began asking for it more than 3 months ago.
The LAPD stated, in its denial of our request, that releasing records relating to the cost of the mayor's security for his trips abroad might somehow compromise his safety.
By the way, $20,000 dollars would cover the cost of a rookie LAPD officer's salary (to help fight crime here in Los Angeles) for more than 4 months, according to the department's Media Relations office.
The records released by the City Controller can be downloaded below:

Wow, now you have to post using my name. And you are still thinking I'm someone else . . . pathetic, really pathetic. But then you always have been. lol
The game continues.

Good for you Paul! Keep up the good work!

My eagerness as you call it is to defend my country against those who have chosen to undermine and destroy it. I will not apologize for my tactics in using the very same weapons that the enemies of this country are using in undermining it. If you are not with me, then you are against me, and as such I have no use for you and your "others." To defame me is to defame all those real Americans who have chosen to defend this great country. I stand for the UNITED States of America. One other thing. I don't spend that much time here. Thanks to the wonders of technology I can access this site anytime from just about anywhere. And giving an hour or so a day to the defense of my country is not an issue with me. I'm proud to do it.

Do what you will, but others have gotten the message.
Oh, I plan to, I'm not going anywhere, and it look's like not every one got your memo. lol

And you have only brought to the table an admission that you enjoy playing games. Apparently, you have time to play these games as evident from the fact you post more than anyone else. Fortunately, others do not have the same amount of time on their hands as you. It's too bad you feel the need to dominate someone else's forum including others you proudly claim to write on. Your views and opinions are appreciated, but your eagerness to combat others is not. Do what you will, but others have gotten the message.

I was hoping to point out to you that Eric's blog could be a fun exchange of ideas.
Really? As I said, you have brought nothing to the table. You want to play, you have to ante up. Answer questions when they are put to you.
Posted by: Tristan | November 17, 2009 at 04:46 PM
Why don't you answer my questions before you ask any of your own?
Posted by: Tristan | November 17, 2009 at 04:37 PM
Why the continual desire to play games? Why do you seem so proud to proclaim that you dominate what should be a public forum? I guess everyone has their own definition of what is considered fun. I was hoping to point out to you that Eric's blog could be a fun exchange of ideas. I'm sorry you and a few others feel the need to dominate something, especially something that is not yours in the first place.
Posted by: Why | November 17, 2009 at 04:25 PM
Oh, one other thing. You said to find another venue. I have other venues, I dominate those as well. :-) See ya in the funny pages.
Posted by: Tristan | November 16, 2009 at 07:25 PM
Since you don't answer any questions I put to you. I don't expect an answer. But I will try again. Why are you only telling me this? Since you say you are not who I think you are. Who do I think you are? Why not put this on all the blogs where "these" others who dominate are. Why only target little old me?
And why would I listen to you in the first place? You have offer nothing in return. Put your cards on the table and play your hand. Maybe, just maybe I would take you serious and listen to what you have to say. Other wise the game continues.

A helpful link here and there is fine, it is the other comments you make that offers nothing to the conversations. Everyone sees it but you. You reply with you don't care. You give advice about not reading your comments, why not do the same with others? You claim you were attacked. Yet you are just as guilty for several attacks on others. I'm just sayin' enough is enough. Again this forum invites input from all interested, not just the few that seem to dominate conversations and you are included in that category.

Actually, no it's just amusing that whenever the topic of your identity comes up you conveniently change topics.
That is not true. If there is a new blog, I comment on that subject. It's also not true that as you said "various individuals. Most of whom do not seek input from you." If you check the comments on "what it takes to get a flu" show you will see I posted helpful links.
As to what is worthy. I don't consider individuals who are working against this country worthy of anything.
Posted by: Tristan | November 16, 2009 at 03:17 PM
Again, don't tell me where, when or how often I post a comment. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it.

Actually, no it's just amusing that whenever the topic of your identity comes up you conveniently change topics. I will leave you with the reminder that this is Eric's blog and not Tristan's. Despite the fact you feel the necessity to comment several times daily to various individuals. Most of whom do not seek input from you, they are responding to Eric's post and not Tristan's replies. Please look into getting your own venue to discuss topics that are of interest to you. Thank you.

I would advise you to answer honestly to my previous question.
Is that a threat? Because I like threats. It makes the game much more interesting.
Also you put way too much importance in thinking I really care who you are.
Posted by: Tristan | November 15, 2009 at 05:27 PM
I can assure you, I am not who you think I am based on your comments. I would advise you to answer honestly to my previous question.
Posted by: curious | November 15, 2009 at 10:35 AM
Worthy others? Sorry, but everyone's input is encouraged. Who may I ask are you referring here is worthy?
And I would be happy to use my real name when you use yours. Agreed?
Posted by: curious | November 15, 2009 at 10:32 AM
Why should I listen to someone who doesn't put a name to their comments and will not answer questions and defends someone out to distroy this country. And if Eric or KTLA has a problem with me I would be gone. Besides between me and a few worthy others, we keep these blogs going. So don't tell me how much or what to comment on.
Posted by: Tristan | November 14, 2009 at 01:03 PM
Knew you wouldn't listen, just remember this is Eric's blog not Tristan's.
Posted by: i'm just sayin' | November 14, 2009 at 11:18 AM
I make him out to be the problem because he IS the friggin' problem. People who sell out this country are a problem. People you attack this country are a problem. Or do you like having potential domestic terrorists running around? Because that's what the DHS has labled Ron Paul supporters.
Another point. I don't have a comment for every individual here. If I'm attacked, I attack back, it's that simple. As far as your advice goes, I choose to leave it. Please excuse me now, I have some major points to push here.
Posted by: Tristan | November 13, 2009 at 07:45 PM
It doesn't matter what the topic or issue is, i'm just sayin' why the need to push your point with this particular individual or for anyone for that matter? Why the need to make him out to be the problem? If you are contributing you are just as guilty. I'm just sayin' it would be nice if you didn't have a comment for every individual. Let others feel free to comment on the topic at hand. Take my advice or leave it, trying to be helpful.
Posted by: i'm just sayin' | November 13, 2009 at 04:15 PM
First of all, as I pointed out this person has been fighting with others before I started my Ron Paul comments. In fact, he and his buddy have a history of being bullies here (again I pointed this out). I will not be bully by anyone, especially by someone like him or his buddy. Second, not all my comments are about Ron Paul and if you see the blog about the flu shots you will see that. So stop trying to put everything on me. He's the problem and has been for sometime. If he's gone, so will much of the fighting. If you want to see how I can be to someone with a opinion other than my own, look at my comments with Robert C. on Gavin Newsom. There was no fight between us.
Posted by: Tristan | November 13, 2009 at 03:38 PM
I don't know for sure who comes and goes, I was just guessing people are afraid to write. I know they are tired of reading you two fight. I'm just sayin' Eric has been kind enough to allow everyone to leave their comments, why abuse the space with constant fighting? It adds nothing to the conversation. Your view is just as important as the next, but it's just that, your opinion and it would be nice if you didn't force it on everyone. Or create your own blog for those to follow.
Posted by: i'm just sayin' | November 13, 2009 at 01:49 PM
I know others here have worthy opinions and there are a number of people who I respect their opinions. But not everyone here is trying to undermine this great nation by helping some racist neo-Nazi start a civil war. I will not sit by and let someone do that. If you can't understand that then that's your problem, not mine.
Another thing, just who have I chased away? If anyone has left, it was because of the Ron Paul supporter and his endless attacks on the president.
Posted by: Tristan | November 13, 2009 at 01:02 PM
That's the problem. You think you're right and so does he. What are you two trying to prove? I'm just sayin' you are chasing people away with your pointless battles. In case you haven't noticed everyone has an opinion, but you two are the only ones that continue. Why?
Posted by: i'm just sayin' | November 13, 2009 at 10:59 AM
I care about what's right. I'm right. That's all that matters. And I'm not the chasing people away so don't put that on me. I read the comments by others, he has had more fights here than anyone. He's driven away more people from here than anyone before I started my stop Ron Paul message. So put the blame where it belongs.
Posted by: Tristan | November 12, 2009 at 09:31 PM
So what? Why continue? You two are chasing everyone away. Do you care?
Posted by: curious | November 12, 2009 at 07:10 PM
Why should I? He attacked me first. He attacked my country and is still attacking it.
Posted by: Tristan | November 12, 2009 at 06:58 PM
I'm just sayin' it's one thing to have fun and play games, it's another when you verbally abuse someone. Why not stop the game playing?
Posted by: i'm just sayin' | November 12, 2009 at 03:51 PM
I was thinking of baseball with "You can't tell a player without a scorecard or playbook." And to some people, everything is a game. Oh, you forgot the Bishop, could that be a clue? lol Clue yet another game. Boy this is fun.
Posted by: Tristan | November 11, 2009 at 07:06 PM
Game? Like chess? With pieces like a King? a Queen? a Rook? Pawns?
Posted by: Kathy | November 11, 2009 at 02:48 PM
Carl? Louise? Rene? Going to need a playbook real soon to figure out all the players in this game. lol
Posted by: Tristan | November 11, 2009 at 01:24 PM
Nice try Carl. : )
Posted by: Louise | November 11, 2009 at 12:44 PM
Michelle P. the same could be said about you and Rene.
Posted by: i'm just sayin' | November 10, 2009 at 05:31 PM
Well, the queen shows herself. Still thinking I'm someone else. Nothing like a one track mind. lol
Posted by: Tristan | November 10, 2009 at 01:42 PM
The very same similarities shared by someone named Paul. Hmmm?
Posted by: Michelle P. | November 10, 2009 at 11:30 AM
To save you the trouble in trying to come up with an answer. No, I'm not Fabian Socialist, nor am I a Republica or a Democrat. I don't belong to any political party. I'm just someone who loves and supports his country. Oh and before you ask, I'm also a atheist. I'm just Tristan. Does that help you try and figure me out? lol.
Posted by: Tristan | November 10, 2009 at 05:08 AM
Why does it matter if I'm a Fabian or not? And why should I answer, you don't answer my questions? Quid pro quo?
Posted by: Tristan | November 10, 2009 at 04:23 AM
So are you a Fabian Socialist who promotes "Social Democracy?" You never answered...

As to who she is, a mere pawn in the game to flush out the defenses of my opponent and to see he has any unknown allies. I found out what I wanted to know.

Which of the 13 stages are you currently engaged in your little war? Who is Michelle P.? : )

"It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle."

I think you meant "accept" Jared?
I still don't know who Michelle P. is Tristan. Do you? You said it explains alot. What does it explain?

Posted by: jared | November 09, 2009 at 12:36 PM
Bullsh*t! But if you want to continue that charade go ahead. I don't care. It only amuses me more, and that's all that matters.
Posted by: Tristan | November 09, 2009 at 12:04 PM
i've been 100% honest... it is you who won't except my honesty..
Posted by: Jared | November 09, 2009 at 10:07 AM
You speak of honesty? "Hello pot, kettle calling." lol
Posted by: Tristan | November 09, 2009 at 09:38 AM
"I didn't use a first name"
I think she is referring to this post by you on another thread..
"Does the name Michelle P. mean anything to you? And be honest."
Seems like there is someones first name being used by you..
hmmm... there is now a question of honesty here...
Posted by: Jared | November 09, 2009 at 08:48 AM
Who do you think Michele is Tristan? It's not me.
I didn't use a first name, but thanks for the info.
